“…..Don’t be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God!—harvests a crop of weeds. All he’ll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God’s Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life….” —Galatian 6:7-8 (MSG)

Do you know that your life is a reflection of what you do with your time? Do you know that the results you are going to get are completely dependent on what you do with your time? Well, in case you do not know, I am telling you now. The use of your time is the determining factor of your success. Sadly, most people have not come to know this, they spend their time on things that won’t bring value to their lives, and yet they want to see wonderful results in life. It does not work that way; you must make up your mind that you are going to make good use of your time and use it to advance your life. Somebody once said, there are those who spend time, some squander time while some others invest time. Make a conscious decision to be part of those who invest their time wisely because when you do, your life will not be stagnant and your results will be evident before all. One of the differences between a graduate and a non-graduate is what they have spent their time on over the years. Therefore, it is important that you invest your time well. You might say but sir, what are the things I can spend my time on that will change my life and advance my endeavours?

Well, amidst the several things you could invest your time on, spiritual matters are a must, if you want to experience a blissful life and gather eternal fruits. The reason is that the spiritual controls the physical, it decreases the challenges of the physical realm and helps you to live on top and be above at all times. The Bible recorded in our opening text, saying “…don’t be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God! —harvests a crop of weeds. All he’ll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God’s Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life….”Galatians 6:7-8 (msg) From this, you discover that the importance of investing your time in spiritual matters cannot be overemphasized. Therefore, I urge you to begin today to invest your time in the things that count. Cultivate the habit of studying the scriptures comprehensively, engage more in fasting and prayers, channel your resources to spreading the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, get involved in soul winning and be regular in church services, where you can be nurtured with God’s word and be instructed in the ways of righteousness and most importantly engage in personal evangelism. If you invest your time doing all these, you will be amazed at the kind of results you will get. Praise God!

TODAY’S RHEMA

Be amongst those who invest their time, not those who squander their time!
