“…where there is no vision, the people perish…”– Proverbs 29:18b

Today, many people out there get involved in several ventures without a vision, while others don’t think they should have one, so they continue in a race that has no destination. This is one of the reasons you find lots of people with many unrealized dreams and unfinished projects because they didn’t have a vision. They start up something today, and the next day they get into something else. They start up a job today, and after one month, they are looking for another job. They keep jumping from this to that. Some others start school, and before long, they drop out and say they want something else; why? Because they do not have a vision. The Bible says in Proverbs 29:18b that “where there is no vision, the people perish.” Meaning where there is no plan, nothing works—no vision, no future.

So, if you want to live a successful life and have an amiable and enviable future, you have to make up your mind to have a vision for your life. Become specific with what you want. Do not be like many out there who do not know what they want; they want to be a jack of all trades forgetting that a jack of all trades is a master of none. I am sure you do not want to live like this. Begin today to seek the face of God and let God breathe into you His vision for your life.  When this is done, chalk out your own vision in this vision and try to work out an achievable means of fulfilling this vision. When you have a vision, it becomes easy to accomplish goals in the shortest possible time. So do the needful, and plan your life today. Don’t be deceived into thinking you need to do everything and be everywhere; you will only end up nowhere, so be visionary. That business you are doing, you must have a vision for it, that school that you just started, you must have a vision even the relationships you find yourself, you must have a vision because this will help you maximize time and accomplish more in life. Praise God!

The key to a successful and enviable life is to have a vision!

Father in the Name of Jesus, I thank you for this truth that has come to me today. I am most grateful. Henceforth, I declare that I will run with a vision in all that I do and everywhere I go. I choose to stay focused and be a man of visions by the power of God’s Spirit. I accomplish all that God has planned for me to accomplish in the name of Jesus. Amen!
