“…give, and it will be given unto you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom, For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you…” Luke 6:38 (NKJV)

Giving is something that must be given serious attention, if you truly want to live a life of liberty and grow in your capacity to receive. I know that there has been a lot of debate on this, but trust me, it doesn’t make it wrong. The statement in our opening text was made by our Lord Jesus Himself, now it is either He was joking or He was serious about it. But you know that our Lord Jesus Christ will not make a statement that He does not mean. Therefore, it is important that you deliberately cultivate the lifestyle of giving because you are the one to benefit from it in the long run.

Just recently, I watched a documentary about the Dead Sea and I was shocked. Now, for those of you who do not know about the Dead Sea, it’s a lake bordered by Jordan to the east and Israel. It neither receives nor gives out water, so that makes it dirty and stale. It is one of the saltiest water bodies in the world and this makes it a tough place for plants and animals to inhabit.

Now, in that documentary, it was shown that the Dead Sea is literally drying up at an alarming rate. In the year 1930, the surface area of the sea was 1,050 km2 (410 sq. mi) but recently it has reduced to 605 km2 (234 sq. mi), you know why? Because it neither gives nor receives. So what it has in terms of water, is reducing by the day and I am sure in years to come, if nothing constructive is done, that sea might disappear. But other water bodies like the Red sea is flourishing by the day because it gives and receives water from other sources. It is fulfilling a law of nature that allows it to flourish. Now, giving is that law that allows you to flourish and blossom at all times, do not let this life style depart from you because it is your ticket to living a fruitful life. Help yourself today and start doing the right thing. Praise God!

TODAY’S RHEMA

As long as you are fulfilling the law of giving that allows you to flourish, you will always be on top!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

The ability to give and give always is at work in me because I am a cheerful giver. I declare that as I continue to give, I receive access to treasures in hidden places and I am flourishing in all things and riding on the wings of the Spirit in the name of Jesus. Amen!
