“…”…And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us….” —Acts 16:9 (NKJV)

As you journey in your Christian walk, one of the things you must place priority on is divine direction and the reason is because, when you have direction, you won’t wallow in the dark or make mistakes that you can’t recover from. When you have direction, you know what God wants you to do per time. It is a very terrible thing to go through this life without direction from God. Many of God’s people over time have fallen into all manner of complicated situations because they didn’t have direction. Even as we speak, there are many who are groping in the dark right now, in their career, business and relationships because they didn’t have direction. However, your case ought to be different. As you journey in your Christian walk, make a conscious decision to always go for direction in all that you do, because it will save you time and efforts. In most cases, having direction will even save your life and keep you from falling into the trap of the devil.

Now, you might say but how do I get directions from God, on a daily basis? Well, it is simple. First of all, you must acknowledge the presence of the Holy Ghost in your life because He is the one that God has sent to carry out this ministry in your life. Our Lord Jesus Christ said, “…when He the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you…” John 16:13-14 (NKJV). Did you see that? The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth. He is the one assigned to carry out the ministry of giving you directions. Your responsibility is to acknowledge His presence in your life, cultivate a relationship with Him and always inquire from Him. When you begin to do this, it may not look as though you will actually receive direction. But as you continue to acknowledge His presence in your life and cultivate that relationship with Him both in prayers and fasting, He will begin to speak to you even before you ask. This was the experience that some of the disciples in the early church had and the Bible records that, “…as they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “…now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them…” Acts 13:2 (NKJV). You too can receive directions like this, all you need to do is make receiving directions a priority and you will always receive the communications of the Holy Ghost. Hallelujah!

TODAY’S RHEMA

If receiving direction is something you have as a priority, you will always receive the directions of the Holy Spirit!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

By the power of the Holy Ghost, I decree today that I receive direction for every area of my life. I choose to no longer remain in the dark. At every point in time, I know what to do, when to do it and how to do it in the name of Jesus. Amen!
