“…your word have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you…” Psalm 119:11 (NKJV)

Beloved, when you hear God’s Word from time to time, how do you respond to it? Do you receive it casually or you take it seriously? For some people they take it very seriously and meditate on it again and again until it forms a strong hold in them, but for some others, they treat it as one of those things. They don’t really take it seriously because they do not understand the power behind God’s word. Well, if you are in that category of people who treat God’s word casually, the time has come for you to change that approach because it only makes God’s word less powerful in your life. It’s important you understand that God’s Word is God Himself, if you receive it with meekness and take it seriously, you receive God into your life, but if you treat it as casual, you are indirectly ignoring God and this will do you no good.
Therefore, be encouraged to exalt God’s word in your life and take it seriously whenever you hear it being preached. Remember, this word we are talking about here, has the ability to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified (Acts 20:32 NKJV). The psalmist so valued God’s word he said “…your word have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you…” Psalm 119:11 (NKJV). He did not throw the word away or aside, but rather, he hid it in his heart, that it might become a torch light for direction, motivation and inspiration. This is the exact way, God wants us to approach His word. He does not want us to hear it and toss it aside, rather, He wants us to receive it with all seriousness, attach importance to it and let it become the path which we follow in our day to day activities, choices and decision. So make up your mind to do the needful today and let God’s word be exalted in your life. Praise God!

TODAY’S RHEMA

God’s word is God Himself, if you receive it with meekness and take it seriously, you receive God into your life, but if you treat it as casual, you are indirectly ignoring God and this will do you no good!
