“…. this charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare…”1 Timothy 1:18 (NKJV)

When a word of prophecy is declared upon the lives of God’s people, they receive it, believe it but do nothing with it or about it. Because somehow, they have been made to believe that these prophecies are supposed to manifest on their own, but the truth remains that it does not always happen that way. And the reason for that is because whenever a word of prophecy comes to a person, the devil moves into action and tries all he can to either make sure the prophecy is delayed or denied. Now, when the prophecy is not being fulfilled in their lives, they feel that either the man of God was wrong or the prophecy was not from God. Sadly, that is how many of God’s people have lost their prophecies over time, and they wonder what is going on in their lives. Even some of the promises that God has made to them on a personal note never comes to pass, not because God was wrong but because the powers of darkness have hijacked those promises, and there was no countermeasure from the one who received the prophecy.

However, if you truly want to see the promises and prophecies of God over your life come to fruition, you must learn to enforce them in your life through prayers, faith-filled confessions, and sacrificial offerings. I know you may think that this is strange, but let us look at a few examples in the scriptures. When our Lord Jesus Christ was baptized, the Bible recorded that the Heavens were opened and the Spirit of the Lord descended on him like a dove, and the voice of the Lord came saying, “…this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased….” Matthew 3:17 (NKJV). And in Matthew 4:1-11, the Bible recorded that He was led to the wilderness to be tempted by the devil, and when the devil came, the first thing he tried to challenge was the word of the Lord that came to Him from heaven, but our Lord Jesus Christ was able to overcome him. Now, this is the same thing that happens when prophecy comes to believers, the enemy tries to come and counter it, and if you do not stand your ground to enforce it, the prophecy will never come to pass. So, if you want your prophecy to manifest before your very eyes, you must learn to enforce it through your prayers, fasting, confessions, and giving. Paul the Apostle had this understanding, and he admonished Timothy, saying, “…. this charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare…”1 Timothy 1:18 (NKJV). Halleluiah!

Father, I thank you for bringing me your word today. I decree this day that I will run with this truth, and every prophecy that has come forth concerning my life is manifesting in the name of Jesus. Amen!
