“…abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me…”

John 15:4 (NKJV)

Does your lifestyle, draw you closer to Jesus or take you farther away from Him? This is an important question I believe every Christian should be sincere about in these last days because we are surrounded by activities and schedules that tend to take us farther away from Jesus. And if we are not careful, we could be professing Christians without true relationship with Jesus. Beloved, you must understand that this is not the kind of life Jesus wants us to live. He does not want our Christianity to be a title but an actual relationship with Him because that is what Christianity is all about. It is a living relationship between God and man. Anyone who missed it here has missed it all.

Therefore, I encourage you to re-evaluate your life and be true to yourself. Make a conscious decision to start engaging yourself in activities and schedules that will draw you closer to Jesus. Don’t be a Christian without a relationship with the Father. Don’t be a Christian without a passion for the things of the Kingdom. Rather, be a Christian who burns with passion for Jesus and the Kingdom. Today you find that we literally have to force most people to be in church. But that is not how it ought to be. The moment you fall into the category of people that the church has to pray for and follow up to be in church, it means your love level is really low and something must be done about it at the earliest. Make Jesus your priority and trust me, your life will be better in all ramifications. You might say, is this necessary? Oh yes! It is very important because our Lord Jesus Christ said “…abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me…” John 15:4 (NKJV). Did you see that? If you truly want to bear fruit, you have to abide. In other words, you have to spend every day of your life involving yourself in the things that concern Jesus and the kingdom. When you do, you will surely bear fruit and be set apart from every other person. Praise God!
