“…Lord, I believe help my unbelief…” – Mark 9:24 (NKJV)

The Bible tells us the story of a man who brought his son to the disciples of Jesus Christ so they might heal him, but they couldn’t. Then he approached Jesus and narrated the whole story to Him and asked for compassion (Mark 9:17-23). So Jesus answered him and said, “…if you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes…” Mark 9:23 (NKJV). Then, he made a remarkable statement that I would like to really talk about here today. He said “…Lord I believe, help my unbelief…” He stood in a position of unbelief, especially with the way the disciples of Jesus Christ had tried without any result. However, he still tried to believe, which was why he said to the Master “help my unbelief”. He struggled with his faith because he just had an experience that didn’t encourage him to believe, but he had to believe anyway.
Now, just the way this man had faced a situation that didn’t encourage him to believe, that is how many of God’s people have encountered different situations in life that have dried up their belief. But the truth is that, even with the ugly experiences in the past, it doesn’t mean you should walk in unbelief. You must understand that one bad experience, does not make the power of God of none effect. If you cling on it and dare to believe, it will certainly come through no matter the odds. So I urge you today, to stand in your belief system. No matter the pressure you face, no matter the severity of the situation, dare to believe and according to Jesus, all things will be possible to you. You might be facing some life threatening situations right now, you might be in a financial mess right now, but if you can believe, you will certainly get your victory. Praise God!

One bad experience, does not make the power of God of none effect, Dare to believe!

Against all odds, I choose to believe, against all odds, I choose to cling on to the power of God because I know that it has never failed and will never fail me. Therefore, I declare that my belief system is intact and will not be compromised in anyway in the name of Jesus. Amen!
