“…do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God…” —Romans 12:2 (NKJV)

There are worldly principles and there are kingdom (Godly) principles, the question is which of these principles governs your life? Many are not mindful of this, so they aren’t cautious of the principles that run their lives. They live the way they want to live and are not really bothered if they are walking on the right path or not. They are open to anything that seems good and pleasurable but the question is are they helpful? Paul the Apostle, made a profound statement saying “…all things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful…” 1 Corinthians 6:12, letting us know that there are things that seem good or lawful but they are not helpful. Therefore, we have a responsibility to be careful of the things that we allow in and around our lives. According to worldly principles, anything goes but according to God’s kingdom, not everything is allowed because there are things that cause us to walk in error and open us to satanic manipulations and oppression.

As a Child of God, God wants you to be conscious of His kingdom and the principles that apply because it helps you to walk in the path of safety and peace. The principles available to us in God’s word brings life and peace and anyone who finds these principles and engages in them will also enjoy this life and peace. Make a conscious decision to take God’s counsel concerning several matters very seriously and live by those counsels because they will help you to live a life of victory and success. Let your decisions and choices be influenced by God’s word and let the things you do or engage in be influenced by the things God has said in His word. Doing otherwise would mean going against God’s counsel, and it could cost you. Therefore, begin today, to work on the principles that govern your life. Let your whole life be influenced completely by God’s word for it is written “…. give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let it depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh…” Proverbs 4:20 (NKJV) Praise God!
