“…let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need…”

Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV)

Have you ever wondered why the scriptures tell us to come boldly before the throne of Grace to obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need? Well, it is because to walk with God and receive from Him, you must be bold in His presence. And when you look at the above scripture, it shows that even to receive God’s mercy and find Grace to help, you require boldness. Now, why is this important? The reason is that most times, God’s people are always more conscious of their shortcomings than their right standing with God. You will see a young man who spends more time dwelling on his mistakes than he is dwelling on God’s mercy and grace. His mistakes make him unable to fully stand before God and ask for certain things boldly because somehow, he thinks that his shortcomings disqualify him from asking anything from God which is not true. It is only a wrong belief that the devil has made him believe.

However, this notion has to change because God does not want us to live our lives like this. While it is good to acknowledge our mistakes and turn from them, God wants you to dwell more on His mercy and His grace than the gravity of the mistakes you have made. Of course, He certainly does not want you to continue in mistakes, but He also wants you to be conscious of your right-standing with Him. Always know that ever before you knew Him, disqualify knew you and chose you first. He sent Jesus Christ to pay the ultimate price for you so that you will be free of guilt and be bold to stand before Him and relate with Him as a son will relate with His father. While you may be thinking that you do not qualify for His mercies, He already chose you and qualified you in Christ Jesus. The Bible says, “…whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son….and “whom He predestined, these also called; whom He called; these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified…” Romans 8:29-30 (NKJV). Did you see that? So be bold in your walk with God and live a life pleasing to Him. Don’t be like Adam who hid himself when God asked after Him. Adam did that because he lost his boldness but Jesus already paid the price, today God wants you to rest in the finished works of Jesus and be bold in your walk with Him. Halleluiah!

When you are bold, it’s easy to access mercy and grace, so be bold!

I stand today on the power of the finished works of Jesus Christ and I declare that I am bold in my walk with God. I am bold when I pray and I am confident of my walk with God. I am sure of what I have with God therefore, I walk in boldness now and all the days of my life in Jesus name. Amen!
