“…now, the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure in in him…”

Hebrews 10:38 (NKJV)

As you journey in your Christian walk, one thing you must continually work on is your faith walk. Because the secret to becoming all that God wants you to be in Christ Jesus hangs on your faith. If you are a man of faith then you will certainly lay hold of all the promises of God and be the person that God wants you to be. But if you are not a man of faith, it becomes difficult to be that man or woman that God wants you to become. Therefore, it is important that you take this seriously and strive every day to improve your faith. You need to make a conscious decision to invest daily in your faith by giving yourself to hearing, studying and meditating on the word of God, for it is written, “…faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God…”- Romans 10:17 (NKJV).

The question now is, why should you consistently work on your faith? Well, it’s simple. If you don’t, your faith will begin to shrink and you will begin to draw back in the faith walk. Now, the danger of this, is that the father says, “…if anyone draws back, my soul has no pleasure in in him…” – Hebrews 10:38 (NKJV) and then in Hebrews 10:6, the bible says, “…without faith, it is impossible to please God…” So a shrinking faith will do you more harm than good. You cannot afford to displease God because of your lack of faith. Therefore, be encouraged to deliberately improve your faith walk. It will not happen by chance, you have to be deliberate about certain things to actually make it happen. Meaning, you need to create time to expose yourself to the teaching and preaching of the word of God, because they will stir you up and set you in the path you ought to follow daily.

Invest daily in your faith and you will never draw back in your faith walk!

Glorious father I thank you for nourishing me with your word and reminding me of the place of faith in my Christian walk. I choose this day to continually invest in my faith and use it to overcome all the hurdles of this life in the name of Jesus. Amen!
