“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth” – Psalm 121:1 (NKJV)

As you journey in your Christian walk, one of the things you must learn to do is never to take your eyes off Jesus. You have to keep your eyes on Him all the days of your life because it is the key to living the triumphant and overcoming life that God has called us to live in Christ Jesus. Out there in the world, there are lots of situations that are set to choke our faith and make us discouraged but you see, your eyes on Jesus is the only thing that will make you scale through without considering the odds. In Matthew 14:25-29, the Bible gives us an account of how the disciples of Jesus Christ saw their master walking on water and thought He was a ghost, but lo and behold, it was Jesus and He told them not be afraid but In other to confirm this, Peter said if really you are the one, bid me come to you, and Jesus Christ asked him to come. So peter immediately stepped out of the boat and began to walk on the sea just like the master but while he was doing this, the Bible declares in Matthew 14:30 that “when Peter saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid and began to sink” Now the reason Peter began  to sink here was because he took his eyes of Jesus Christ, He took his eyes of the word and in no time, he withdrew from walking in faith and began to walk in fear which immediately made him start sinking. In the same way today, the situations of life might be so tough but you should be smart enough not to observe it because if you do, the situation has the ability to swallow you up but when your gaze is on Jesus and His words, no matter what you go through, you will always scale through.

Jesus is all you need to come out of every challenge and any problem. I know this might be difficult to believe that’s the truth. Refuse to consider the severity of whatever situation you are going through, rather have the reality of God’s word and the life that has made available to you in Christ Jesus. Winning for you as a Christian is always the end result of every challenge because the world and all its problems has already been overcome by Jesus and this was the reason Jesus Christ before His death, burial and resurrection said “in the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” -John 16:33. So cheer up and fix your gaze on Jesus, from big matters to small matters, maintain your gaze on Jesus at all times and I promise, you will keep walking and not sink. This was the revelation the psalmist had when he said “I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth”. His eyes were fixed on the Lord and so should yours be also. Praise God.

As long as your eyes is on Jesus, you won’t sink, drown or fall!

I will continue to fix my gaze on Jesus and His Word because from Him comes my strength, my help, my provision and my protection. No matter what happens, I refuse to be distracted by it but rather gaze will continually be fixed on Jesus Glory to God
